Blacksad: Under the Skin is a point-and-click adventure game. What sets it apart from other games it is its unusual setting. We have a classic noir, rainy city full of sin, but its inhabitants are animals. The title character is a black cat in a raincoat and a suit.

The game is quite a typical detective challenge – a murder has been committed, the perpetrator remains unknown, and the player has to piece together scraps of information to identify them. It's not very easy, of course, and the investigation goes far beyond simply questioning witnesses and suspects.

The action takes place in the 1950s. It happens in New York, so you won't get any advanced tech nor labs that investigators can use nowadays. Your only tools are keen cat senses and the ability of deduction.

In addition to the classic walking and clicking in search of evidence, the game features difficult situations with several choices to make, as well as dynamic cutscenes with quick time events.

The main character, John Blacksad, actually returned in this game – he first appeared in 2000 in the comic book that started the series that continues to this day.
