The Best Android Games 2020

The first quarter is behind us, and we already have a pretty decent selection of mobile games to check. Especially now, when a lot of people have more time.

It's time for another compilation of mobile games. This time, we look at the games that came in 2020. And that year brought quite a few interesting releases. But since release dates got sketchier nowadays, we've decided to publish the list sooner. For this reason, some interesting items will debut only in January 2021. Nevertheless, there is plenty to choose from!

UPDATE

We've updated the piece, introducing a few additions and getting rid of a few flops. As a result of this reshuffle, 8 new games appeared, along with an honorable mention. That's a total of nine fresh pages of text that you'll find towards the end. If you have your own propositions, share them in the comments. After all, this is for you!

Gwent: The Witcher Card Game

  1. Genre: card trading game
  2. Requirements: Android 7.0
  3. Business Model: free-to-play

The White Wolf has finally arrived... on Android. It took a while, but Gwent: The Witcher Card Game is finally available to the mobile OS from Google. Nevertheless, it seems it was worth the wait: the game may even flourish in the mobile formula. In addition, the Journey, a special kind of battle pass released recently, offers hope that in the next few months CDPR will not turn Gwent upside down again.

At the same time, though, be aware that Gwent on Android suffers from some problems. The complaints mostly boil to two things: the game's high requirements, and interface legibility, plus the occasional glitches. As far as I'm concerned, however, this is a good game, and one of the more honest card games out there.

Teamfight Tactics

  1. Genre: auto chess
  2. Requirements: Android 7.0
  3. Business Model: free-to-play

Teamfight Tactics is currently one of the most popular representatives of the auto chess genre. Riot Games did a splendid job preparing this mode – judging by its popularity, it's clear it was worth the effort. Now also available on mobile devices – and honestly, Teamfight Tactics fits this platform like a glove.

The developers made sure this conversion is right in the smallest details. The special effects are nice, the interface is well designed, the game supports full cross-play, Riot also made sure the achievements on each account can be shared. Just download and play!
