Might & Magic: Chess Royale is a large-scale auto battler strategy. The match starts with a hundred players who fight one-on-one battles with each other until the last survivor remains on the battlefield.
Might & Magic: Chess Royale is a fantasy online battle strategy that belongs to the auto battler category popularized by Dota Auto Chess . The production uses the free to play model with micropayments.
Plot
The action of the game takes place in a fantasy world known as Ashan, created for Might & Magic after it was acquired by Ubisoft. However, Chess Royale offers famous heroes, locations and factions.
Mechanics
Might & Magic: Chess Royale is an auto battler game inspired by the Dota Auto Chess mod. We fight against other players. The clashes take place automatically, so the main decision about winning is the selection and placement of the character.
During the game we construct teams, creating various combinations of units, heroes and factions, which offering various bonuses. The reconnaissance phase helps to make the right choices, when it is possible to see the choices of rivals. Players also have the opportunity to influence the course of the clashes with a daily changing spell pot. The gameplay is further enhanced by the character development system, allowing you to advance to higher levels.
In Might & Magic: Chess Royale, the basic elements of the game are no different from Dota Auto Chess or commercial imitators such as Dota Underlords or Teamfight Tactics. However, the authors have significantly increased the scale of the struggle: while the classic auto battlers are designed for eight players, here we are dealing with a hundred participants. They're fighting 1v1 until only one of them remains alive.
Despite so many players, the skirmishes are not long. The production is designed so that the matches last 10 minutes maximum.
Game modes
Might & Magic: Chess Royale is designed exclusively for multiplayer mode.

[0:30] Might & Magic: Chess Royale trailer #1
PC Gamer: 70 / 100 by Alistair Jones
It might seem gimmicky, but Chess Royale is an effective introduction to an often-confusing genre.
Worth Playing: 6.7 / 10 by Jared Hall
All in all, despite Might & Magic: Chess Royale being free to play, I have a hard time recommending the game as anything other than an introduction to auto-battlers or a very casual experience to distract a few minutes while waiting in line. It's overly simplified and displays little in the way of character. With several games of this nature on the market, it's difficult to see how Chess Royale could compete.
The Digital Fix: 6 / 10 by James Eckhoff
Might & Magic: Chess Royale is an excellent game for passing small bits of time, though the lack of depth makes it feel stale over time. Nothing revolutionary has been added to either genre here. Regardless, if proper updates persist, this could be an excellent addition to the autobattler genre.
