Every year has a small indie game comes around without a marketing campaign or big announcements, and its charm grips the gaming world. This time, it was Death's Door, an unusual tale of a raven transporting souls to their resting place and the story of the struggle to save one soul kidnapped by sinister creatures.

This isometric action adventure game features all the standard elements: battles against challenging enemies, exploration, puzzles, cutscenes and RPG mechanics. All of this, however, has been well balanced and given a unique artistic style, so that both the gameplay and the story draw you in. There was also plenty of black humor.
