Late Autumn/Mild Winter
Late Autumn/Mild Winter adds an aura to the game, which the author aptly defined in the mod's name itself. After installing this modification, sunny weather will remain only a memory. Instead, conditions experienced during late autumn and/or at the beginning of a mild winter will prevail. So the weather isn't favorable - the sky is often overcast, although the sun occasionally breaks through. There could also not be a lack of morning fogs and trees devoid of leaves. This sounds a bit depressing, but for realism maniacs, this type of modification is - paradoxically - necessary for happiness.
Late Autumn/Mild Winter introduces far more than just new and improved atmospheric phenomena, contrary to what it may seem. The author has prepared many textures and high-quality models that replaced the original ones – including trees. Additionally, the creator considered the fact that during late autumn or early winter, the days are shorter and the temperatures are lower.
Installation instructions
Place the downloaded .scs file in My Documents/Euro Truck Simulator 2/mod folder.
Early Autumn - autumn on the roads
Early Autumn
If you're not too fond of the late autumn/early winter vibe, which you can add to the game through the mod presented earlier, you might prefer autumn, or more precisely early autumn landscapes. You can incorporate them into ETS2 by downloading and installing Early Autumn.
The project modifies the original weather effects and adds new ones, while also introducing graphical improvements primarily focused on increasing the resolution of textures in older parts of the map. More detailed "skins" were applied to, among others, sidewalks, hedges, roads, fields, grass, and trees. These last ones also received a new model.
The author took into account the changes occurring in nature at the beginning of autumn and consequently, reduced the number of leaves on the trees and shrubs, and also ensured that they had the appropriate color for this season. Fallen leaves can be found on the sides and sidewalks. Furthermore, the creator adjusted the outside air temperature, modified the length of the day, and enriched the weather with fog that mainly occurs in the morning.
