Beware of early access!

Steam hasn't made it quite clear that GreedFall II: The Dying World will be available in Early Access in September. So before you buy this title, take that into consideration. Initially, the game will only be available on PC, but over time it will also be released on consoles. So maybe it's not worth jumping into this RPG in September, but rather letting it mature?

Will the sequel be better?

GreedFall II: The Dying World will launch in Early Access in a scaled-down version and will lack many features. Further updates will include additional regions, quests, and other attractions. Despite this, there will certainly be people who are eager to check out this RPG. Especially since quite a large community has gathered around the original. Some even see in this title a new Gothic! So who knows, maybe GreedFall II: The Dying World will be like Gothic 2?
