I don't know about you, but I love it when someone takes old fairy tales and retells them in a slightly twisted way. In Lies of P, we will get an alternative reality in which Pinocchio, an animated, mechanical doll, must find Geppetto. And that's only because a note suggests him to do so. The gloomy world where the protagonist is and the lurking monsters definitely don't encourage such excursions!
A mature fairy tale I could read
Pinocchio's nose grows when he lies, right? This is fundamental conclusion that has a completely different dimension in Lies of P. When our hero doesn't tell the truth, he becomes more human, and thus loses access to his extraordinary abilities. Moreover, the game is simply a soulslike representative, possibly most similar to Bloodborne. Judge for yourselves whether this is good.
