The Day Before

  1. Genre: survival MMO
  2. Release date: June 21, 2022
  3. Developer: Fntastic
  4. Why it can surprise? It's The Division The Last of Us DayZ, with dazzling graphics

What will come from the merger of The Division, The Last of Us and an MMO game? The Day Before, which has a chance to become one of the biggest hits of next year. This online survival game draws handfuls from Ubisoft's production (in terms of gameplay) as well as Naughty Dog's (the atmosphere of an empty world after a zombie apocalypse). As one of the survivors, we will take part in the arduous reconstruction of society, trying to find out what happened.

It is true that the combination of the terms "survival" and "MMO" raises some concerns, but dozens of hours spent with both installments of The Division make me look at The Day Before with a more favorable attitude. If the developers and the publisher do not confuse the monetization issue, we may conclude that the DayZ conqueror is finally here. The technical layer is already delighting, which is one of the most important aspects when it comes to reception of such a game. I keep my fingers crossed for this project and for its console premiere in 2023.
