Aliens: Fireteam Elite

Business model: Buy-to-Play

Platforms: PC, PS4, XONE, PS5, XSX

Aliens: Fireteam Elite is another attempt to use the Alien universe in games. This time, however, we're not dealing with a horror game, but rather a horde shooter, where brave soldiers stand on one side, and bloodthirsty xenomorphs on the other. Several variants of them were created for the needs of the game, so you can't complain about repetitive opponents.

The gameplay itself is about exterminating opponents and completing specific objectives. The game is played by a three-person team, where each player has their own character with specific specialization and skills. The game also offers crossplay. Aliens: Fireteam Elite allows you to travel through the next stages of the story campaign with friends as part of cross-play.

Destiny 2

Business Model: Free-to-Play (Paid DLC)

Platforms: PC, PS4, XONE, PS5, XSX

Destiny 2 is a unique MMO that offers an interesting combination of solo gameplay with co-op elements. The player can go through the story campaign alone, but will encounter other players in the open world. We are not forced to interact with them, but some challenges are designed in a way that promotes cooperation. In addition, there are various PvP modes and PvE challenges focused on team play.

The base version of Destiny 2 is available for free, but you have to pay for add-ons. Fortunately, cross-play is available by default. This enables you to invite friends from different platforms to your fireteams to complete the story, explore the world, or organize raids together. The latter is arguably the mainstay of the game, and it really emphasizes the benefits of playing together.

Chivalry 2

Business model: Buy-to-Play

Platforms: PC, PS4, XONE, PS5, XSX

Chivalry 2 is an example of how simple games are sometimes the most fun. We play the role of a knight who faces the simple task of chopping down their enemies. Players are divided into two teams and try to overwhelm their enemies with brute force. The crux of the game is chopping opponents into bits, and at the same time completing a specific goal on the map. Sometimes you have to defend a convoy, other times you have to storm a gate.

In Chivalry 2, the player chooses their knight, their specialization and weapons. These elements determine our role and combat efficiency, but it's not that important in practice. You will spend most of your time here surrounded by dozens of other warriors, all fighting for survival and trying to deal as much damage as possible. Fortunately, with cross-play, you can also do this with your friends, although you have to be careful – they may happen to land on the other side of the barricade!

Evil Dead: The Game

Business model: Buy-to-Play

Platforms: PC, PS4, XONE, PS5, XSX, Switch

Asynchronous PvP games are based on a simple principle – a group of players compete against a single. Typically, the team has limited resistance and is clearly at a disadvantage when acting in separation. In Evil Dead: The Game, however, it's completely different! This game takes full advantage of the cinematic achievements of the franchise. Thanks to this, fighting evil happens on fair terms and both sides have to actually try.

During the game, the representative of the dark forces uses their skills to hamper the agents of good. They, in turn, must not only fight his spawn, but also look for artifacts and cards from the Necronomicon book. This game also supports full crossplay capability. It is worth noting this also includes Nintendo Switch.
