Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy is fun for hours and hours. As the title indicates, this is a trilogy released as one game, including the first three parts of the series, which have been remastered and released as a compilation. The Japanese series, which is owned by Capcom (known, among others, for the Monster Hunter and Resident Evil series), tells the story of a young lawyer – Phoenix Wright. In this production, full of absurdities typical for games from the Land of the Rising Sun, we solve various cases from beginning to end – starting from searching the places where we expect to find some leads, collecting evidence and talking to people involved in the crime, and ending with winning the case in court. Of course, whether we win depends only on us and whether we indicate the appropriate evidence or inaccuracies in the testimony.
Ace Attorney is played in two phases. In each case, we first have an investigation stage in which we search various places, like in a point-and-click adventure game, and talk with other heroes in a typical visual novel convention. Then we have to share our discoveries in court, where the most important thing is how perceptive we are and to what extent we think logically. Details are important here and you should always pay attention to them.
In addition to single cases, the story of Phoenix Wright 18×16 svgalso has main plot threads and recurring heroes – these elements are present in every part. Despite the fact that the graphics stand out from modern productions, the trilogy has been renewed in a really nice way, it draws you for a long time and captivates with a sense of humor.
