Fighting off waves of enemies together in such a setting could be quite the bull's eye.

Multiplayer in Cyberpunk 2077 is largely a mystery, and it may not become available before 2022. Its quality will largely depend on the quality of the shooting mechanics, so a coop mode would create a buffer of safety before they're potentially refined. Playing together against waves of enemies, like in Borderlands 3, is all about fun and spending time together, rather than worrying about cheaters, weapon balance, TTK, etc. It would also work well combined with the fact that Night City's literally run by all sorts of gangs.

This is what the, slightly ironic, Cyberpunk 2077 of our dreams looks like.
