EAX Fix is a mod for S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl, created by Patrxgt.
Description:
On modern PCs when playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl, EAX doesn't work, depriving us of great surround sound. This mod fixes that, providing excellent 3D audio effects.
How to install the mod:
1. First you also need to edit fsgame.ltx and enable support for loading unpacked gamedata folder.
To do so go Steam\steamapps\common\STALKER Shadow of Chernobyl, now open fsgame.ltx with Editor.
Change:
$game_data$ = false| true|
to
$game_data$ = true| true|
Now you should be good to go.
2.Extract the mod’s archive to your game folder.
