Disclaimer

Though redscript can have access to native fields now there is no proper way to update the minimap with new zoom values, so what I'm using here is literally a bunch of dirty hacks to trigger the minimap refreshing :) Doubt that it could damage your game somehow but still wanted to warn you, this is not the way we usually do mods for this game.

Patch 1.3 minimap changes

Patch 1.3 changed the minimap rendering to reduce flickering and also added some kind of minimap vehicle mode when the whole minimap container content shifted down vertically. Unfortunately this is not compatible with dynamic zoom so when the feature is enabled you will still have minimap content centered.

Compatibility

If you are using my Limited HUD? mod then you also must install LHUD - Improved Minimap Zoom Patch from LHUD downloads section

Not compatible with No more UI Speedometer? mod, you can use Hide Speedometer addon from Limited HUD? instead

Might be incompatible True Hidden Everything and Hide Armor mods, you can use Hide Your Gear? instead

Should be compatible with other minimap or HUD mods because zoom values applied at runtime

Allows you to config zoom values for different in-game minimap modes

Adds dynamic zoom feature when minimap zoom based on current vehicle speed while you driving

Adds minimap peek hotkey which zooms out minimap while you hold it

Everything is configurable with config.reds file

Combat: 40

QuestArea: 25

SecurityArea: 40

Interior: 25

Exterior: 35

Vehicle: 100

Modded minimap zoom values:

Combat: 60

QuestArea: 40

SecurityArea: 60

Interior: 40

Exterior: 60

Vehicle: from 80 to 140 if dynamic zoom enabled, just 80 otherwise

You can open config.reds file and configure zoom values as you like, also it has a few options for dynamic zoom and peek hotkey where you can define zoom and speed ranges, peek zoom increment or just disable the features.

How to install

This mod requires  Redscript. ArchiveXL, RED4extv, TweakXL, Input Loader and Native Settings UI

Download the latest redscript release and unpack it into the game folder

Unpack the mod archive into the game folder

Install Input Loader and Native Settings UI

Do not use minimap flickering fix from CET as it is not needed with the game patch 1.3

Required Redscript version: 0.3.0+

How to uninstall

Delete Cyberpunk 2077\r6\scripts\ImprovedMinimapZoom folder

Delete Cyberpunk 2077\bin\x64\plugins\cyber_engine_tweaks\mods\ImprovedMinimapZoom folder
