Number of levels
There are 38 main levels in the game. However, there are bonus and retro levels, as well as various game modes.
Game's length
- Main story - 10/12 hours;
- Doing everything in the game - 30/40 hours.
Extra levels
Crash Bandicoot 4 has additional levels that have to be completed with other characters. These are just new areas you can explore – you also collect diamonds and secrets.
There are 8 additional levels in the game.
Flashback levels
You can unlock 21 flashback levels. To get to them, you have to collect tapes.
The only way you can get a tape is to complete a level without dying. Additionally, you have to complete the map in order for the tape to be added to your inventory.
If you die, you have to restart the level.
N. Verted levels
The N. Verted levels are a mirror image of regular ones. Each stage has its own specific graphic style, but other than that they don't have many other differences. You can get gems and secrets just like in the regular levels.
Bosses
There are 5 bosses in the game:
- N. Gin;
- Louise;
- N. Brio;
- Neo Cortex;
- N. Tropy;
- Neo Cortex - final battle.
Each has its own "N. Verted" version. This means that there are 10 boss battles in total.
