Primitive Cube | Disc 3 - Finale Blue Dragon Guide
Last update: 11 May 2016
Walk a few steps and you'll be attacked by a boss.
Boss - Mechosaur & Jumbo Poo
It's a very simple battle. If you did some training before entering the cube, it will be a piece of cake for you. In my case, I beat them with just one hit, huh. |
After finishing the battle enter the nearby ruins.
Level 1
Go along the platform and turn right to get to the console. Activate it to enable yourself to get to the chest. In the chest at the end of the room there's a Black Magic Heart. Use another console to move the floor to the left. Go through it and grab a Grand Shadow Crystal. Activate the next console. Get back to the beginning of the room and go through the newly opened passage. There's an Ancient Emblem - Moon in the chest. Take it and once again move the floor at the end of the room. Go through the door to the right.
Go through the corridor and turn left. Take MP Boost Elixir from the chest to the left. Go to the other side of the room. Take the Broken Eternal Engine and go through the door. Go forth. In the next room with lava press the button in the middle and leave through the southern door (the whole level will turn around in a way). Take Ultra Medical Medicine and go north up to the end, to the room with snakes (Immortal Wings). You'll get MP Boost Elixir there. Get back to the lava room and use the button again. There's a locker to the right; you'll find a Barrier Magic Heart there, and to the left - Monk Heart. Press the button once more to restore the walls' original positions.
Get back south and turn right through the first door. There's a huge room with snakes in it. Go through the ledge to the first console and use it to move the floor, then approach the second one and do the same. Press the button on the third computer, then get back to the second one and activate it once more. You can now reach the chest (Phoenix Wing). At the end there's a black barrier with two chests behind it (Mega HP Up Elixir + Himiko's Necklace). There's another console here. Activate it and get Ancient Emblem - Sun, then stand on the warp device.
Head east and open the door using the Sun emblem. Get through the room (there's a locker with HP Up Elixir) without pressing the button - to the east. Defeat the red ghosts there and get Support Magic Heart. Now go back to the room with the button and turn the walls. Go south - there's a Monk Heart at the end of the corridor. Get back to the junction and go north.
Defeat the ghosts and take Assassin Heart. Go further to the north. Take Grand Light Crystal from the chest to the let and activate the console to the right. Go across the bridge to the chest (Cure-All) and another button - press it. Now go to the other side. There's a Barrier Magic Hear and Ancient Emblem - Void. Before you use the teleporter, activate the last switch. If you want, you can walk around this room and deactivate the black barrier on the other side. There's Guardian Heart and Himiko's Earring behind it. Get back and use the warp device.
HINT: If you were strict about lifting barriers, you should now see the almighty "Achievement unlocked" on the screen. To make sure you've got them all, check the records: Menu -> Items -> Encyclopedia -> Adventure Record.
You'll be teleported to the dark door. You can now open it.
Boss - Hydrattler
It's a very simple boss - just use Watera on it. |
After the battle go further and use the teleport.
Level 2
Go south and then west. You'll have to defeat a sub-boss that absorbs fire magic, so stick to other elements. After the battle push the button. Now head east and do the same thing once more. Get back to the center and turn south.
Boss - Pyro Dragon
If you've done some dragon-hunting earlier on, you'd probably expect much more from this one. If you haven't, then you might get surprised by its 15000+ HP and powerful range attacks. Use Waterus and Windus on it, as well as physical attacks. |
Go further due south. You'll find a teleport here - activate it. Go west at the junction. There's another "sliding" puzzle there - get to the other side to get Himiko's Ring. Make sure you restore the original positions of the bricks in the floor! Get back to the junction and go east. It's basically the same thing again - play a little puzzle for Nene's Necklace. Move the platforms so that they are back in their original positions.
You can reach the two remaining chests by getting back to the warp device and going a few steps southwards. There's a narrow corridor there, that will take you to the remainder of treasures (Nene's Ring, Himiko's Bracelet).
A little bit further you'll reach the final puzzle. It's difficult to describe the solution in plain words, so let's not complicate things unnecessarily. There are sub-bosses in the surrounding rooms: Mechataclysm and Sneezing Cyclops. The former can be defeated using fire, the latter - using water. When you finally form a bridge to the other side of the lava pit, you'll be really close to the ending. Reach the warp device and use it.
Sanctuary Chamber: Boss - Ultimate Szabo
Szabo in his final form has somewhere around 20 thousand HP. The battle might take some time. Fortunately, the damage he deals isn't all that serious. He concentrates on attacks that deal damage to the whole party at once, so keep your Zephyrus ready. |
After the battle follow Szabo. Grab what's in the chests and activate the last teleport in the game. The portal before you will take you to the final confrontation with Nene.
Boss - Nene
The first phase is surprisingly dull - heroes' shadows are weakened, and Nene himself apparently tries not to get too serious. The only spell that's worth using here is Flarus. Steadily attack Nene, monitoring your own health. When you deal a few thousand points of damage to him, a scene will commence in which you regain full strength. Things will get a bit more complicated now but still it's nothing out of ordinary, compared to tens of bosses you've already fought. Hurt him hard enough for him to change into his final form. |
Boss - Ultimate Nene
At the beginning of this round Nene will heal your party. The battle is still basically identical - just do the usual stuff and you'll be fine. It's really a test of how well you trained your team - if you can't beat him, than well, you're in trouble. |
After another series of scenes you'll fight Zola. Watch out so you don't hurt her too serious - it's a stupid bug in this game, that if you kill her now, then it's game over for you. Attack her gently, then. After a few rounds, more scenes commence.
Boss - Destroy
And here he is: the final boss in the game. Didn't you see it coming? Attack him with everything you've got. He has about 20000 HP and fairly strong attacks. When he creates a mist all over him, use Windus to get rid of it. When Destroy leans over towards you, attack his eyes. |
When the battle is over, all that's left is to play through an epilogue of sorts. Stand on the warp device and approach the control mechanism. When you're on a plain, pick up a flower. When you take over Marumaro, approach Zola and talk to her. When you're Shu again, enter the house and talk to everyone inside. Give Kluke the flower. And that's it. It's been a pleasure, folks.
