The choice of the best unit is quite a broad topic and depends on the battle you are going to fight - sometimes melee units will have an advantage, and sometimes units that use ranged attacks or spearmen will work in your army, so the most important thing is the right balance of your army.
In our guide you will also find a list of all units divided into factions.
Melee units
If you want to use melee units, you should consider recruiting the following ones:
- Tier I - pay attention to the Warrior unit, it deals 10 damage with a melee attack, moreover, it gets a bonus to the first attack as well as extensive bonuses to defense, such as Shield Defense or a special shield wall defense mode.
- Tier II - the Night Guard is an interesting unit in this tier. It is characterized by balance, but has additional advantages like a bonus to the first strike and when attacking a weakened opponent. All of this, combined with wounding the enemy with gunfire beforehand, should give you an effective unit.
- Tier III - here are the most advanced units. Each culture only has 1 unit available for recruitment. At this tier, you should pay attention to the Black Knights belonging to the Dark Culture, who are characterized by a powerful charge as well as magic attacks, which makes them quite a versatile unit.
Ranged units
Ranged units are mainly available as tier I units. On this tier, a good choice is the Arbalest unit available for the Industrious culture. It offers two strong ranged attacks and additionally has an attribute that allows it to increase resistance to hostile ranged attacks.
Magic units
When it comes to battlemage units, their number is limited, but the most distinctive unit that you will definitely need to recruit when playing a faction with a Mystic culture is the Spellbreaker unit. It has 2 spells - Cosmic Bolts with 4 attack power and Star Purge with 6 attack power (fire, lightning, frost attacks). In addition, when recruiting this unit, you get 10 spell points, plus a random +1 to magic attacks for the next 3 turns.
