This page contains the first part of the walkthrough for chapter 6 of Uncharted 2: Among Thieves called Desperate Times. This is the second chapter taking place in the city. This chapter features challenging battles with hostile mercenaries. However, you will be able to use a stationary gun.

Be prepared for a lot of firefight. Opponents will come from literally everywhere, even during platforming sequences. The level of difficulty also increases due to, among other things, a fight with a mini-boss - an armored helicopter. This chapter has six treasures, some of which have been hidden rather well. As soon as you start the chapter, go down the stairs and jump off on the streets - this triggers the first cut-scene.

After it ends, you will find yourself behind one of the sculptures, at the edge of the square full of opponents [secret 1] [secret 2]. The first step to eliminate them is to get rid of the opponent with a rocket launcher - he is standing on the trailer. Move along the wall to get there.

Grab the back section of the truck and wait for the enemy to get closer. Eliminate that enemy and pick up his weapon. You can now start killing the remaining enemies (most of them will come from the temple - we recommend shooting missiles at that spot).

This fight is relatively long - due to constant reinforcements - so take your time with moving forward. There are a lot of covers and ammunition here so don't hesitate to use them. You should also remember that you will be attacked by enemies equipped with shields. Save grenades for them.

When you move to the back of the temple, the camera will point at an incoming truck. Destroy it as quick as possible - this will make the fight easier. Throw a grenade at the vehicle - initially, all the opponents will be standing next to each other (you can kill up to four hostiles at the same time). Also, remember that another enemy with a heavy machine gun is standing on the trailer. Run towards him as quickly as possible and jump on the truck to kill him with bare hands. Use the turret to finish off another wave of enemies. They will run out from one of the neighboring buildings - if you don't hurry with destroying the truck, you will be forced to fight them without using the turret.

When all the enemies are dead, go to the building next to the mentioned truck and boost Chloe - she will lower the ladder for you. After climbing to the top, jump over the railing (from the direction of the square) and jump to the street light with signs.

Then, swing on the lamp and jump on the roof [secret 3]. Go through the broken window to get inside the building and get ready for a fight. Two opponents will run out of the elevator at the end of the room. The problem, however, is that one of them will be heavily armored. You need a little more firepower to kill him. Be sure to have a few grenades - they will make this fight shorter. Try to stay hidden and don't allow the enemy to approach you - he is equipped with a shotgun. When the battle is over, go to the elevator.

Unfortunately, it will malfunction - only Drake can get out of it. You are now in a red corridor. Reach its end and go into the room on the left. Go to a ruined bathroom - part of it is sticking out over the streets.

Walk over it and jump to the flagpoles. Then, jumping from one to another, make your way to the other side of the building. One of the flagpoles won't support Nathan's weight and bend. Finish this section by climbing the wall.
