The second cannon and the bell | Mission 5 Abrunza Monastery in Sniper Elite 4 Sniper Elite 4 Guide
Last update: 09 August 2019
On this page of our guide to Sniper Elite 4 we explain how to destroy the third enemy cannon and how to reach the bells on top of the monastery tower as part of completing the fifth mission of the game - Abrunza Monastery. You will learn about the climbing site to the tower and get some info about a dangerous enemy sniper.
Destroying the third cannon
Leave the ruins and cross the wooden bridge to get closer to the third cannon located in the north-east (M5,12). There might be enemies hiding among the rocks. The cannon is guarded by three soldiers.
When it comes to destroying the cannon you have a few options:
- kill or distract the enemies and blow up the cannon by using an explosive charge
- use the TNT with delay-action fuse
- use a Panzerfaust - sadly, to destroy the cannon you must fire three times.
The path to the monastery's tower
Next, go near the monastery's walls and use the scaffolds (M5,13) to get higher. You are safe there - the enemies are located in the central part of the building. But before that, get on the tower (M5,14) - there you can find the enemy sniper that, sadly, used trip mines on the stairs so be careful.
On the tower, there are also the bells that must be used after you tagged the trucks as a part of the side objective. The bells are used from the lowest level (by pulling the rope). Remember to do it after you kill the sniper, otherwise you can get Nazis' attention.
However, the bells ring when you shoot them which masks your shots and attracts the enemies. Use them to mask your shots by using the regular ammo and, from that place, you should kill about 5 enemies.
