Murder on the Mediterranean | Chapter 2 - Ah, Venice! The Raven Remastered Guide & Walkthrough
Last update: 23 March 2018
Go towards the exit on the left - the doctor will follow you. Speak with Oliver after longer cutscenes. Then go to the living room and then to the stern. Check the speakers, chairs and towels. Go back to the place where you spoke to Oliver and go downstairs. Check the ship model and knock to medical cabin.
After a long conversation you will obtain a bullet. Go to Legrand - his cabin is on the right from the doctor. Here you will learn some interesting things and you will receive an evidence bag.
Go back to the bar. Here you will speak with captain. Learn thoughts of your favorite crime drama writer about the matter. Finally pick up the icepick.
Go to the waiting room and then down the screen. You will stand in front of baroness' cabin. Check the seals and then break them in order to get inside. There are some things worth investigating here - the lock in the door, alarm lamp in the upper left corner, a mannequin, a painting and a portable drawer - examine the latter twice. Walk towards the table and check the notepad. Read the message and take it. Now it's time to see what the vase is worth - after turning it feathers will fall out. You should take them. Check under the bed as well - there are more feathers. Go back to the vase and use the icepick on it. You will receive the burned pillowcase. Finally examine the reel-to-reel tape recorder. Examine the reel you took - it will be added to your inventory.
Check the sheet covered in blood. Repeat this action. Go to the left and the scene will change. Now you can examine the luggage. Search the handbag and then read baroness' diary. Check other items in the handbag - you will obtain the Scene Investigator achievement. Check the windows of the cabin. Leave the room and go up. Speak with baroness' butler. Talk about all available topics.
Leave through the passage on the left. Examine the chest and then use the stairs to reach the upper deck. Here examine the evacuation boat, the ventilation (a few times) and the axe. Notice the entrance to the bridge.
Go to the lower deck. Examine sleeping Oliver. Notice that there is a bottle of water next to him. Speak with the police officer. He will share his theories about the Raven with you. Explore the deck. It's time to tell Legrand what you have found and seen. Examine the lock of his cabin after the unpleasant conversation.
Go to the dining room. Watch the interrogation cutscene and then look left. A portable toaster can be found there. Check the coffee and use it. Speak to Lady Westmacott. Go to the stern with the sunbeds. There you will find Miss Mayers and the captain. The woman will be eager to talk - take advantage of that.
Go to the lower deck. Speak with Matt. Agree to play the game with him and learn the rules. They are simple - by shooting six rollers you must gather more points than your opponent. How to win? Focus on getting the first roller as far as possible. Then aim the next ones so that they hit the first row - which is 4,9,2. Once Matt shots his rollers, you will have a blocked access to the higher points. Avoid shooting rollers with low strength - they will hit the field that reduces your points by 10. For winning you will receive a slingshot.
Go to miss Miller and Lucien - they are speaking at the side of the ship. Lucien will tell you some interesting things about a manuscript. Speak with the woman as well. Once the conversation is over, go to Oliver and try convincing him to allow you to interrogate the prisoner. He won't agree, but you will learn what he needs. Go to the medical cabin and take the stones from the herb next to the entrance. Then go to the living room. You can ask the favorite writer what she knows about the manuscript. Take the food from the table with the coffee. Simply move the cursor over the toaster.
Combine the rocks with the slingshot. Use the newly created item on the bottle of water next to Oliver. Now you can interrogate the stowaway. Once the conversation is over, examine him a few times. Then go towards the drawer on the right side. There you will find a toolbox and inside it a wire and a screwdriver. Use the latter on the bullet hole. Leave to the deck and give the slingshot to Matt after the conversation with Oliver.
Go to Legrand's cabin and use the wire on the lock. Now you will have to complete a slightly irritating task of combining the primitive lockpick to the shape of the teeth in the lock - it must pass between the upper and lower ones. If you click and hold the mouse on the wire and then pull it up, you will change the shape of the lockpick. The picture above presents the correct placement of the shapes.
Once you're in the cabin, examine the safe twice and the sheet. Then check the alarm hanging next to the bathroom entrance. Check this room as well. Examine the magnifying device on the desk on the right side. The pictures hanging between the windows are worth attention as well. On the left side there is an impressive forensic set. Examine it very close - check everything you can. You can pick up the special cotton flakes for collecting fingerprints. In the drawer under the set there is a notepad with list of chemicals and their application.
Move away from the forensic set. On the table you will find police files and an empty vial after something injected by the inspector. Examine the familiar piece of pipe. Take the bullet in the foil - it was used to kill baroness.
Move back from the table and use both bullets on the microscope. Your objective is to position both halves of the cards in such way that the lines on both sides create one. For examining the bullets you will unlock the Forensic Officer achievement.
Go to baroness' cabin and use the flakes on the blood stain. Go back to the laboratory. From the notebook you will learn that in order to examine the blood you must use luminal and hydrogen peroxide and then add the liquid to determine if it is blood. The peroxide can be found on the desk at the bottom - it's the first item on the left. Use it on the glass bowl. Luminal can be found on the higher ledge - it's fifth from the right. Take the pipette that is lying next to the bowl. The constable will fill it and then he will use it on the bowl.
Go to the corridor and then to the medical cabin. Select the option to break in - this time the protagonist will do it on his own. Inside examine the sink and the wheelchair. There is a recorder in the room as well. In the drawer under it you will find a reel - place it on the recorder and listen to it.
Walk towards the drawer deeper in the room. In the trash can you will find a destroyed glove. Examine it a few times and leave the cabin
