Last update: 03 October 2016
In below chapter you will find advices about three maps available in Control mode. Some of them are for the defenders and some for the attackers. In the text you will find, among other things, information about crucial heroes and descriptions of useful shortcuts.?
Ilios
- On the map, there are spots where you can push the opponent off. If you have such an ability, do not hesitate to use it.
- Be careful while fighting for the control point by the large well. This spot provides advantage to all of the heroes that can push opponents back. If you are playing as a fast and agile hero, mind where you jump in order not to lose ground under your feet.
- Lucio may be helpful at gaining the edge at the beginning of the game. Thanks to his speed boost, your team can be the first one to reach the control points and deploy defenses.
- There are many vantage points on the map. Use them.
- There are plenty of open spaces on the map, which makes Fara a serious potential threat to the opposing team.
- With his grenade launcher, Junkrat wreaks havoc on this map. He is especially helpful while trying to capture, defending the lighthouse control point.
- While fighting by the lighthouse, and the battle moves to the cliff, watch out with your jumps or you will end up in the ocean, over the wall.
- In the ruins, there are many corners that enemy snipers may hide in. In such situations, it is a good thing to have Fara on the team, who can patrol the area from above and warn her allies against possible threats.
Lijiang Tower
- The team that is the first to reach the control point gains considerable edge over the opponent, which is why it is a good idea to pick Lucio into the main team, thanks to which you will get there faster.
- Junkrat is useful both in offense and defense. He can deploy his mines by passages and rake enemies across windows, while not exposing himself.
- Mei will be just as helpful, as she is capable of keeping enemies at bay with her Ice Wall.
- There are many convenient vantage points on the map. Hanzo or Widowmaker will be best here.
- There are many open areas on the map, which makes it an utter heaven for Fara. She can also effectively rake the enemy across open doors and windows.
- It is a good thing to have a tank on the team, while fighting for control points. Roadhog or Reinhardt will be perfect here.
Nepal
- The team that is the first to reach the control point gains considerable edge over the opponent, which is why it is a good idea to pick Lucio, thanks to which you will get there faster.
- This is yet another map where Junkrat proves his worth. While fighting for control points, you can deploy mines and rake enemies from safety, across windows.
- Pick Widowmaker or Hanzo as snipers. Hanzo can fire scattering arrows into small rooms and deal AoE damage.
- Fara can be just as useful. Fire from above can scatter the opposing team around. What is even more, Reinhardt cannot protect his allies against attacks from above.
- Roadhog is perfect as a tank. He can both pull the enemy into the arms of death, and at the same time, he can push the opponents out of the control points with his Ultimate Ability.
- Bastion or Torbjorn are excellent for defense here.
