Zero Sievert - Tips and Tricks for Beginners
In this beginner's guide, you will read the most useful Tips and Tricks for playing Zero Sievert. With us, you will be able to get through the first hours.
Zero Sievert is a shooter that sends the player into a dangerous world resembling that of the games in the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series. Surviving it is not easy, but with our tips and tricks it will be a little simpler.
Remember that Zero Sievert is an early access game, so the information provided here may become outdated over time.
First steps
- Put on your equipment – once you have begun the game and chosen your starting gear, you still need to equip yourself – don't let things go to waste in your backpack.
- Collect quests – many NPCs have quests for you to complete for additional valuable rewards. These are worth collecting.
- Remember to reload – your weapon is not loaded by default (you can do this with the "R" key).
- Don’t forget to unload – even if you can't take a weapon with you, it may have valuable bullets in it. Also unload your rifle before throwing it away/selling it.
Basics
- Familiarise yourself with the modules – these are improvements to your base. Find out what things you need to build modules you are interested in and focus on them as you search the next map.
- Character has its own needs – remember that you get hungrier and thirstier over time. Exposing yourself to radioactivity without the right equipment is also not the wisest thing to do.
- Birds can help you – during a fight it may not always be clear where a body has fallen (for various reasons). If you have trouble finding it, wait until the birds land on it.
- Beware of overloading – unfortunately you can't load everything you like into your backpack. The only consolation is that weapons in your hands do not count towards your maximum carry capacity.
- You don't have to fight everyone – focus on getting the job done, remember that you can't carry everything anyway.
- Weapon upgrades fit specific models – before you buy or select a weapon part as a reward, make sure it fits the model you are using.
Combat
- Always have a loaded gun – unfortunately bullets can run out quickly, even if you still have half a magazine.
- Shoot practically anything that moves – there are not many friendly souls in the world of Zero Sievert. If you are in a field and something moves and looks like it is patrolling the area, it is probably better to shoot.
- Remember that various weapons require different ammunition – always make sure what ammunition is used by the weapon you are currently using and don't let yourself run out of it.
- Heal yourself – don't be afraid to use your stockpile of medicines. You won't be able to use them if you are dead. Also beware of bleeding, as left unattended it will quickly kill your character.
- Move slowly - this way there is a greater chance that you will be the first to see the enemy.
