Xenoblade Chronicles Returns; New Game Later This Year
Xenoblade fans have reason to celebrate. Not only has Nintendo announced Xenoblade Chronicles 3, but it's also going to release it later this year.
Yesterday's Nintendo Direct didn't grace us with new information about Breath of the Wild 2 but even without another Zelda the fans received a handful of interesting announcements. For example the new Xenoblade Chronicles, which was announced in the first trailer.
What's more, Nintendo did not leave us with just a trailer without additional information. We even got the release date. Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will hit Nintendo Switch in September, this year.
The new installment is expected to "connect the futures" of both main installments of the series, possibly being the culmination of the entire trilogy (which would coincide with previous rumors), and will take place in a new world. It will be a war-torn setting, with the armies of Agnus and Keves using both magic and advanced technology (including giant mechs).
The plot will focus on the lives of six characters, with soldiers Noah and Mio fighting on opposing sides and "life" being the main theme of the story. Interestingly, some of the familiar faces from previous installments have been confirmed to return.
What's more, it seems that once again we'll get an open-world RPG which we'll explore with a party of characters. We are waiting for more information.
