XCOM meets Western – See a New Hard West Gameplay Video
Hard West looks like XCOM in Western-themed dark fantasy setting on this new gameplay video. This turn-based strategy game is coming to PC this fall.
A new gameplay video with commentary from Hard West has emerged. This original title from Polish developer CreativeForge Games combines Wild West theme with dark fantasy elements and XCOM-esque gameplay. The video presents a bank heist with a twist – demons with shotguns coming to protecting the townfolks’ money. You must admit that its turn-based tactical gameplay looks much like XCOM: Enemy Unknown, with different setting, of course. See for yourself:
Hard West is coming out on PC this fall. The game was successfully backed on Kickstarter a year ago and is now getting published by Gambitious Digital Entertainment. The team at CreativeForge Games comprises of ex-employes of Techland (Dead Island), CI Games (Sniper: Ghost Warrior), and Flying Wild Hogs (Hard Reset). The game’s story was written in collaboration with Haris Orkin, the script writer of Company of Heroes 2, Dying Light, and Call of Juarez series, whereas its soundtrack was composed by Marcin Przybylowicz, renowned for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
