Divinity: Original Sin 2 New Details Revealed – First Screenshots, DirectX 12 Support and Kickstarter Launch
We got some first-hand news on Divinity: Original Sin 2 from Larian Studios. The game will feature 4-person co-op and darker, more complex story.
Sequel to the last year’s successful isometric RPG from Larian Studios will bring about a natural evolution of the well-proven mechanics. The story and world are said to be darker than in the first Original Sin, as this time you will be playing as a user of forbidden magic, a member of the group you opposed in the previous game. NPCs are promised to react appropriately to the race and the past of your hero, even to a point of what quests you are given and how you complete them.
Divinity: Original Sin 2 is going to feature 4-player co-op mode. However, it will include a competitive aspect, as different characters may have different agendas. More about that and other gameplay modifications you can read in our preview.
How big Divinity: Original Sin 2 is going to be depends on how well crowdfunding goes. Depending on fans’ generosity, the developers may include more playable races, character backgrounds, skills, and even full voice-over. Divinity: Original Sin 2 is coming out around 2017 for PC. Console versions are possible if they can handle the improved version of Orginal Sin engine (version 3.0) based on DirectX 12.

Creators of Divinity: Original Sin 2 asked for 500,000 dollars on Kickstarter. The campaign will be end on September 30, 2015, but it seems that the minimum goal will be reached much sooner than that. We are looking forward to seeing stretch goals unveiled.
