WoW - Blizzard Removes 1500 Valor Points Cap
Developers from Blizzard Entertainment announced the changes that will be introduced to the MMORPG World of Warcraft with the next update. Players can look forward to the removal of the controversial cap of 1500 Valor points in the character's inventory.
IN A NUTSHELL:
- The limit of 1500 Valor points in a character's inventory in World of Warcraft will be lifted in the next patch;
- The developers will also remove the weekly limit, while the maximum value of all points will be increased.
Developers at Blizzard Entertainment decided to remove the controversial limit of 1500 Valor points in a character's inventory that currently exists in the MMORPG World of Warcraft. The change will come into effect after the release of the next update. The intentions were announced in a post on the game's official forum.
"This is correct. There will not be a limit of 1500 Valor that can be held," wrote the community manager named Kaivax.
It's worth noting that this is not the only change associated with the currency - its new description (available in the first of the images below, coming from the so-called PTR server, on which updates are tested before release) also does not mention the maximum weekly value, and the total limit has been raised.
The editors of WowHead speculate that the latter change will be introduced gradually - in the first week after the release of the new patch the limit will be raised to 5000, and then every week it will be increased by 750. The value visible on the image, 8750, would therefore apply to the sixth week .
Valor is an in-game currency that is earned by performing various PvE (player vs. environment) activities, such as raids, instances, or killing rare monsters. Points can be spent on upgrading our epic gear. According to some players, the current limit is too low compared to the price we have to pay to upgrade some items (for example, each rank of two-handed weapons costs 1000 points), especially since there is no similar restriction in the case of the Conquest currency granted for participating in PvP activities. It seems that the developers finally agreed with this point of view and implemented what the community wanted.
