Witcher 3 Mod Enriches the Soundtrack
Mod called The Witcher 3 Music Overhaul Project introduces 16 new songs to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Creators of the mod announce that this is not the end of their work and in the future we will get even more great music.
Despite a few years since its launch, Witcher 3: Wild Hunt still enjoys great popularity among players. Of course, the Netflix series, which will debut later this year, may have an impact on this, although, as we know, it will not be an adaptation of the games, but rather literary works by Andrzej Sapkowski. But the real interest of fans is evidenced by the activities of the game's modding community. Here's one of its latest achievements. The Witcher 3 Music Overhaul Project is a work of two modders, Ridog8 and Moahofer30. As the name suggests, the project aims to introduce changes in the musical setting.
But you don't have to worry - instead of replacing the existing and much-loved soundtrack, this modification simply adds 16 new tracks to the game. The aim of creating the mod was to diversify the music and make the atmosphere even more immersive. All new songs were created on the basis of themes known from the original. What is also very important, we will listen to the novelties only during exploration, not in combat. When you enter a new region or the game loads, you will first hear the original soundtrack. Only after that will the new songs be loaded.
Modders are planning to further enrich the music in The Witcher 3. You can find the modified file here. Below you can listen to a few tracks added to the title. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt appeared on May 19, 2015. The title was released on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4, a Nintendo Switch port is inbound as well.
