Windows 11 Upgrade Installed Twice as Often as Update to W10
Windows 11 is being chosen increasingly often. Microsoft is bragging about its achievements, going back to the days of the system's predecessor.
From the day of the release of Windows 11, which is October 5, 2021, Microsoft has done everything to convince us to switch to the new system. Partial data on the number of people who decided to take this step was provided by Steam's monthly hardware surveys. This time we present official information about the popularity of W11 straight from the Redmond giant.
In a post published on the company's official blog, dedicated to the PC market and Windows, we read that users installed the upgrade to Windows 11 twice as often as in the case of its predecessor. Microsoft also boasted three times more traffic in the revamped Microsoft Store, giving credit to the new system.
"Windows 11 also received the highest quality and satisfaction ratings of any Windows version we have ever delivered to customers."
Interestingly, the Windows 11 upgrade program is officially entering its final phase and the company may soon make it impossible to upgrade to the new system for free. According to Microsoft, the positive reception of the system exceeded the company's expectations. The number of computers running Windows is also hot news - it is currently installed on 1.4 billion devices worldwide.
