The Gentlemen is Guy Ritchie's spin-off series of his 2019 film, starring Matthew McConaughey, Charlie Hunnam, Hugh Grant and Colin Farrell. The series debuted on Netflix on March 7, where all episodes of the production have been added, so many viewers may have already screened the entire first season. But what comes after it?

For now, nothing is known about a potential season 2 of The Gentlemen. Netflix usually takes weeks to gather viewing data for a production, and only after at least a month, rarely sooner, although such cases also happen (e.g. Avatar: The Last Airbender), does it decide whether further seasons will be made. The Gentlemen has some chance of being greenlit for a season 2, thanks to the well-known name behind the production and the good reception – reviewers and viewers are mostly positive about the series.

And while the season 1 of the series ended somewhat conclusively, the door was left open for a possible continuation. Maybe that's because it wasn't actually specified whether The Gentlemen is a limited series, or whether it was created with more than one season in mind.

The plot of Netflix’s The Gentlemen

We meet Eddie Horniman when he inherits his father's sizable estate, which, it turns out, is part of a marijuana empire. What's more, a whole group of representatives of the British underworld want to grab the business for themselves. Determined to get his family out of the clutches of criminals, Eddie tries to play their game with the gangsters. What he doesn't expect is that along the way he might grow fond of the world of crime.
