When Is One Hundred Years of Solitude Coming Out on Netflix?

One Hundred Years of Solitude TV series is an upcoming adaptation of a novel that will soon be on Netflix. The first trailer for the production has been released.

Netflix in mid-April showed the first teaser from One Hundred Years of Solitude (Cien Anos de Soledad), an upcoming TV series based on Gabriel García Márquez's brilliant novel. The production will depict the lives of multiple generations of the Buendía family, taking a closer look at the history of the founding of the mythical city of Macondo. The TV show will consist of 16 episodes.

One Hundred Years of Solitude will hit Netflix in 2024. The exact date of the TV series' release isn’t yet known, but with the release of first promotional materials, we can be sure that more announcements in connection with this production will be coming soon, including a date when we will be able to watch it.

What is Netflix's One Hundred Years of Solitude about?

One Hundred Years of Solitude TV show will tell the story started by José Arcadio Buendía and Úrsula Iguarán, who married in defiance of their parents. Not meeting with acceptance in their hometown, they embark on a long journey in search of a new home, during which they are accompanied by friends and numerous adventures. They find their place on earth on the banks of a river, where they establish a utopian town and call it Macondo. There, for generations to come, the Buenida family experiences all sorts of things, consumed by madness, impossible loves, absurd wars and fear of a curse that condemns them to a hundred years of solitude.
