Leak Suggests GTA 6 Release Date
Reports have surfaced online suggesting when GTA 6 will debut. Unfortunately, according to them, we'll have to wait a lot longer.
- According to an insider, GTA 6 is not expected to be released until late 2023;
- The game probably won't be revealed until several months from now;
- We won't hear anything official about GTA 6 at least until the release of the next-gen edition of GTA 5.
Gamers waiting for the next GTA do not have an easy life. Every now and then there are new rumors about the game's imminent announcement, ultimately followed by nothing. A few days ago the hopes of players were rekindled by the information that Rockstar Games is looking for testers for a new project. Almost certainly it's about Grand Theft Auto VI, but this does not necessarily mean that the release is near.
ViewerAnon decided to cool down the moods. He says that according to his information, the release of GTA6 is planned for late 2023. He explains that many developers test their games for many years, so the fact that Rockstar Gamer hires people for this task does not mean that the launch is imminent.
It's a reputable source that has repeatedly proven its status as an entertainment industry insider. However, it specializes mainly in movies, so its reports regarding games should be approached with caution.
ViewerAnon stresses that there is no way Rockstar Games will announce GTA 6, before the next-gen version of Grand Theft Auto 5 debuts on the market, which will take advantage of the power offered by the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
He also recalls that Red Dead Redemption 2 was revealed a year before its release. Therefore, he expects that GTA 6 will not be announced until late 2022. Moreover, this date is optimistic anyway, since ViewerAnon does not know how much the pandemic has delayed work on the project.
