Playable GTA 6 map blocked by Take-Two without warning. Discontented creator believes it „was too accurate”
Take-Two again didn't like the actions of modders. This time it got to the developer responsible for the playable map transferring locations from GTA 6 to GTA 5.

Grand Theft Auto 6 is a hot topic among fans eagerly anticipating the release date or at least a second trailer for the new installment of the Rockstar Games series, but the developer is not yet keen on sharing more details about the sixth installment. So it's no wonder that while waiting for more materials, players are spinning new theories about the title, as well as creating creative projects.
Creative fan project for GTA 6 deleted
A modder known as Dark Space moved locations from the unreleased sixth installment into GTA 5. The fan was merely inspired by parts of the map from the upcoming series installment (since we still don't know exactly what the streets of Vice City will look like in GTA 6), as the project was based on the game's first trailer and various leaks. Some time ago, Dark Space published an hour-long material on his YouTube channel presenting the final result of his work.
Unfortunately, Take-Two Interactive, which quickly reached the video, didn't like the project at all. At the request of the GTA 6 publisher, the YouTube administration quickly removed the material from the Dark Space channel. The creator himself only learned about the whole situation from an automatic notification sent to his email address. In the next video commenting on the issue, Dark Space didn't hide his dissatisfaction with the fact that Take-Two had not written directly to him earlier about the removal of the material - in such a case, he would have immediately complied with the publisher's request.
Take Two interactive has copyright claimed and removed my video on the GTA 6 map I made in GTA 5. I expected something like this could happen. I am surprised they didn't bother emailing me. I would have taken it down if asked.
Dark Space removed the links for downloading the mod in question, even though Take-Two didn't make such a request. However, he preferred to do it, considering potential later complications.
Take-Two still attacks modders
The creator of the project incorporating GTA 6 locations into the fifth installment thinks that the company behind the gangster series took down his material because the map "was too accurate." Dark Space believes that Take-Two has recognized a potential threat, as the release of such a mod before the game's release could "spoil the surprise" for those who are eagerly awaiting the new game.
The problem might be that the mod itself relied too much on data from GTA 6, and it's well-known that Take-Two really doesn't like this kind of activity. Before the launch of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition, the company was intensively removing fan-made projects that improved the original GTA: Vice City or San Andreas. Furthermore, recently, the publisher compelled the deletion of a mod that ported Liberty City from GTA 4 to the fifth installment.
