2024 was full of interesting premieres, not only among live-action movies and TV series, but also anime. The Japanese industry delighted audiences with interesting offerings that were hard to walk away from. The novelties were widely commented, not only by viewers from Japan, but also from other corners of the world, where anime is becoming more and more popular every year.

The year 2024 saw the releases of such productions as Solo Leveling, Dandadan, Dragon Ball Daima and Ninja Kamui, and that's not all. But you may have wondered which titles from last year were the most popular?

The hype over the various seasons has made quite a few productions, but the most popular could only be one. Not at all surprisingly, in the list of the most popular anime of 2024, made by MyAnimeList, the first place went to Solo Leveling. The novelty, based on the webtoon, took screens by storm, impressing with the level of animation and the creation of a world that fans could explore.

Below you can see the 10 most popular anime of 2024, while here is the full list made by MyAnimeList, which lists 25 titles.

The presence of Solo Leveling or Dandadan on the list is not surprising; these are productions that were much talked about even before their release and impressed with their high level upon release. It is impressive, however, that Dandadan, despite its release in the fall, still managed to rank high, gaining great popularity among anime fans in a short period of time.

Surprisingly, the top 10 or 25 are missing Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War, a continuation of the shonen that is part of the Big Three. Likewise, some may wonder why Dragon Ball Daima is also missing here. Also surprising is the presence on the list of Uzumaki, which proved to be a huge disappointment to viewers. Apparently, the deteriorating level of animation has not affected the popularity of the screen adaptation of Junji Ito's work.
