WARNING: The following text contains spoilers regarding the ending of the game Cyberpunk 2077.

If you have already completed the Phantom Liberty expansion for Cyberpunk 2077, you are aware that the new game conclusion from the DLC results in V falling into a two-year coma. After this period, the protagonist returns to Night City to reunite with Victor, the only friend who is still willing to meet with our main character.

The city has undergone significant changes over two years and seems to be even more depressing than in 2077. It's easy to observe the widespread poverty, corporate control, and sinister corners while driving through the streets. Unfortunately, we don't have the time to examine all of this closely and without haste. A certain YouTuber decided to change this.

Night City of the future without secrets

SirMZK is a creator who specializes in discovering things in games that players have never discovered before. He has shown his audience numerous hidden, unfinished, or inaccessible locations in Cyberpunk 2077 over the past few months. Now he decided to visit Night City in the 2079 version.

The first thing that catches the eye during exploration are the numerous smaller or larger changes in locations, which were also present in the city's version from two years ago. New versions of ads have appeared in various places, including those that refer to the consequences of our chosen ending, such as Yorinobu's consolidation of his position as the leader of Arasaka.

Furthermore, a large area was taken up by homeless people with their tents and signs displaying angry allegations against corporations. This type of content also covered the walls of many buildings. The buildings have changed beyond recognition, as many of them are under renovation in 2079. They are covered with sheets, and the entrances to them remain blocked.

Interestingly, these are just appearances. The new curtains now cover the buildings, but if we overlook the game's limitations, we'll soon notice that the same locations as in 2077 are still underneath them. So we are dealing with a simple and clever trick of the developers.

Another interesting element of Night City from the future is the Militech AV hidden in one of the alleys. Despite not serving any purpose in the conclusion and likely going unnoticed by most players, its model is filled with so many details that it could rival objects with a crucial role in the game.

And how exactly was this whole new version of the city created? Contrary to appearances, we aren't dealing with a new location here. It's still the "same" Night City as in 2077, in which only the decoration of a small section of a specific district has been changed. SirMZK clearly demonstrated that if we go beyond the location at the end, we will encounter streets that are familiar from basic game and function in the same way as always. So everything is just a very clever illusion.
