WH40K Space Marine 2 - Black Screen and Infinite Loading Screen Explained
During your first start of Space Marine 2 you may have some moments of doubt, as the blackness in front of your eyes may be a little bit too long (if we speak about colors, it is a good opportunity to discuss HDR). Don’t worry though, as it is calculated. The game just loads itself, shaders included, and it may take some time. The good thing is that it will be better next time. So, just be patient and kill time doing something else. Of course, there might be some real problems with launching the game and black screen.

How to Fix Black Screen and Infinite Loading Screen in WH40K Space Marine 2
As I said, there might be some problems with black screen and infinite loading screen. I can think right now of 2 scenarios, which can occur.
- The game is installed on HDD. More and more games require nowadays SSD, this is also true in the case of Space Marine 2. As we know from the story of Star Wars Outlaws, installing such a title on the slower drive can cause infinite loading screen.
- The second scenario is if you booted the game in offline mode. While you can play that way (of course with some restrictions), if you start Space Marine 2 for the first time without the Internet, be prepared for some problems. It should be alright the next time, though.
