Weird West From Dishonored Co-creators Delayed
Devolver Digital and WolfEye have announced that Weird West will suffer a delay of over two months.
We have bad news for those waiting for Weird West, the immersive sim from WolfEye. The game's release has been postponed to March 31, 2022.
Originally the game was to be released on January 11, 2022. The decision to delay the launch was announced by the game's publisher Devolver Digital. The announcement appeared on Twitter.
Simultaneously with the delay announcement a short video was released, in which the main designer Raphaël Colantonio explains the reasons for such decision.
WolfEye is currently conducting a private beta with trusted testers. Their impressions of Weird West are very positive, but they also let the developers know that the project is still not suitable for release and it is necessary to refine it. The developers listened to this advice and decided to postpone the release for two months.
The past several months have been filled with disappointing launches of games that were released too soon. Just think of Cyberpunk 2077, Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition or Battlefield 2042, so it's good that Devolver Digital and WolfEye want to avoid such a fate.
Weird West is coming to PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Thanks to backward compatibility the title will also be available to owners of Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5. The game will also be available in Game Pass subscription - both on PC and Xbox consoles - from day one.
