There is no need to worry about the game's support any more.

Warzone is one of the leaders of the battle royale genre, although the players were afraid for the future of the game. This fear was caused by the fact that Activision regularly releases the next installments of the Call of Duty series and with their release ends the support for their predecessor/predecessors. All doubts were dispelled by the words of Infinity Ward's design director, Geoff Smith (for GamesRadar):

"Although Warzone is very closely tied to Modern Warfare, it was designed from the beginning as its own game As the game continues to be updated over time, it will evolve and become tied to other games in the Call of Duty universe."

This is good news for all fans of the popular battle royale. They can also enjoy the upcoming fifth season of the game, which will launch today at 11:00 PM PT. We wrote more about the patch here, but a lot of fresh information has arrived today. You can see most of them on the roadmap below.

The new features (concerning both Warzone and Modern Warfare) include 4 maps, 4 updates of the battle royale arena, a new operator, 2 weapons (AN-94 and ISO), 3 game modes (Bare Bones, Search and Destroy Double Down and Mini Royale) and fresh missions with daily and weekly challenges. And don't forget another portion of Mastery Challenges for the most experienced players.
