Strategy Game Veterans Announced Warhammer Age of Sigmar RTS
Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin, an RTS in a fantasy universe from Frontier Developments, has just been announced.
During an event dedicated to Warhammer, Skulls 2023 a new RTS game was presented, which is sure to interest fans of the genre and the popular universe.
Work on Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin is led by Frontier Developments, a studio well known to strategy game enthusiasts, from titles such as Planet Zoo or the iconic RollerCoaster Tycoon.
Dark universe
The freshly announced title will be set in the fantasy world of Warhammer Age of Sigmar. The trailer (available above) announcing the game introduced the clashing factions of the Orruk Kruleboyz and the Stormcast Eternals
In addition to the factions mentioned in the material, the game will also feature two additional factions, which remain a mystery for the moment. This gives us a total of four playable sides.

The plot of the game is to be presented in the form of extended campaigns, during which the player will have the opportunity to take the perspective of different, often hostile, factions.
The quality of the story will be supervised by Gavin Thorpe - the developer and writer responsible for numerous acclaimed novels from Warhammer universe.
Gameplay and multiplayer mode
On the game's official website, the developers presented a number of mechanics and elements that will characterize their new work. Among the features mentioned were:
- specialized, upgradeable units;
- development trees;
- various missions and modes;
- a system of interacting advantages and disadvantages of individual units.
Realms of Ruin is also expected to support several multiplayer modules and cross-platform co-op.

Beta-testing, platforms, release
Also announced were open beta tests of Realms of Ruin. Their exact date has not yet been specified, but it is known that the opportunity to play before the release is to be available on all platforms.
