Warhammer 40,000: Darktide Delayed
Warhammer 40,000: Darktide will not be released this year. The developers have announced that the game's release has been delayed.
Warhammer 40,000: Darktide was originally announced for end of this year, but unfortunately the developers at Fatshark have decided to delay the title to spring 2022. The official reason for the delay is the desire to polish the game. As the developers inform, the pandemic had a big negative impact on the development process and it will not be possible to finish the title in the planned time. The message appeared on the game's official profile on Twitter:
In the message we can also read about plans to invest in other systems to support Darktide in the future. It's not entirely clear at this point whether this refers to additional hardware platforms on which the game would appear in the future. This is yet another title whose release has been pushed back to 2022. Ghostwire: Tokyo recently suffered the same fate.
Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is a co-op FPS set in the hive city Tertium. Swedish studio Fatshark is responsible for the title. It was announced that the game will appear on Xbox Series X|S and PC.
