Viking RTS Northgard reveal trailer released
Creators of Evoland are working on Northgard, a real-time strategy about Vikings. The game is due on PC this year.
Indie studio Shiro Games, the creators of the Evoland franchise, have revealed Northgard, a real-time strategy that they are currently working on, set in the Norse mythology. In the game, your clan of Vikings arrives to an uncharted new land called Northgard, full of mysteries, dangerous monsters, and riches. When it comes to gameplay mechanics, Northgard is a classic RTS, in which you build settlements, assign your men to various jobs, manage resources in order to survive harsh winters, conquer new territories, etc. Watch the newly released reveal trailer:
The game will feature competitive multiplayer as well as single player against AI of various level of skill and – what’s interesting – different personalities. Other than that, few details are known on how Northgard is going to stand out from the crowd, but we’ll probably learn more about that soon. The release of the PC version (which is the only one announced so far) is planned for this year, although no exact date has been revealed.
