Vampire Survivors is a game about surviving hordes of enemies. A skirmish with various opponents awaits you. The longer you survive, the more different foes will stand in your way. They will also be more powerful, but you also become stronger with each level. In this article, we will address the issue of controls in Vampire Survivors, as many new players are puzzled by this issue.

Vampire Survivors: Controls

In Vampire Survivors, controls cannot be viewed. This is not without reason. The game uses very simplistic pattern. The only thing that depends on the player is the movement of the character. You only have power over the direction in which you walk. On the keyboard you do this with the WSAD keys, while on the controller the left stick is responsible for this.

In addition, you can control the menu and the selection of items with the mouse, if you are using a gamepad, you can use the stick or the D-pad for this, you confirm with A (Xbox controller). Of course, on mobiles you can control by touch.

All skills are performed for you automatically at intervals. You have some influence on certain attacks, as they are hit in the direction your character is facing. Descriptions will inform you of this, so read them carefully.

Vampire Survivors: Controls tip

We played a bit of Vampire Survivors with keyboard + mouse and gamepad. In our opinion, the game is smoother with the controller. The pad gives the player a bit more control over the character. In a game that is mainly about moving and skilfully avoiding opponents, this is very important. It is therefore worth trying to play on a pad if you have the opportunity.
