Valorant Beta: Devs Warn That Tests May be Problematic

Developers at Riot Games warn that the soon-to-be-launched beta-tests of Valorant can be quite problematic. Players should expect lags and other difficulties, as creating networking structures and testing is currently hampered by the global coronavirus pandemic.

Valorant's beta may not be a perfect experience.

IN A NUTSHELL:

  1. Valorant's beta-testers may experience more problems than in general in similar situations;
  2. We have to reckon with lags and other complications;
  3. The cause is the complications resulting from the coronavirus pandemic.

Executive producer of Valorant - Anna "SuperCakes" Donlon from Riot Games - warned the players that the upcoming closed beta-tests of this title could be very problematic, and the game will certainly give the impression that it still requires a lot of work. The reason is, among others, the coronavirus pandemic.

Donlon also emphasized that the team still wanted to ship the game despite the situation. The developers hope that the game will give the players some joy in these hard times. Unfortunately, there is no way that all those who are interested in the game will be allowed on the servers immediately, but the developers will want to quickly increase the number of users. It is worth noting that initially the title will only be tested in Europe, North America and Russia. Players from other regions will be invited to play in the following months.
