Valheim's Viking Army Exceeded 7 Million Players
The developers of Valheim boasted another achievement. The game's sales in Steam Early Access exceeded 7 million copies.
Valheim does not cease to amaze. Iron Gate boasted that the game's sales have exceeded 7 million copies. This impressive result was achieved in less than three months after launch, as the game debuted in early access in early February.
The scale of the success surprised the creators. Interest in the game is huge, which is well reflected by the fact that Valheim's official Discord channel already has over 185 thousand members, while before the release it was only 5 thousand. To meet the expectations of players, it was necessary to expand the team with new developers. Iron Gate has received many resumes and are in the process of reviewing them, and the first engagements should happen soon.
Currently, the studio is working on an update with new content, which, among other things, will expand the list of components, enabling us to create more complex constructions. Further plans include additional locations and bosses.
Recall that Valheim debuted on February 2, this year. The game is available only on PC. Less than two weeks after the release, the game's sales exceeded 2 million copies. Four days later it was already three million, and on February 24 it was announced that the threshold of 4 million reached. In early March, 5 million were achieved, and a month ago - 6 million.
Since its release, the game has not left the first place of the Steam bestseller list for two months. This is all the more impressive because these lists are made according to revenue, and Valheim has a relatively low price. The game was only knocked off its throne by Outriders, but it still remains in the top ten highest earning titles on Valve's store.
