Valheim Player Group Helps Others Recover Lost Items

Made up of a dozen Valheim players, the Body Recovery Squad helps other users recover possessions lost when their characters died.

IN A NUTSHELL:

  1. A group of Valheim players called the Body Recovery Squad is dedicated to recovering users' possessions after character death;
  2. The team consists of 15 people and takes its mission with surprising seriousness;
  3. BRS can be contacted on Discord.

If you've been playing Valheim for a while, you've probably died and lost your possessions a few times. Reaching the grave and recovering your belongings in such situations can be a challenge, especially if you are trying to do it alone. Fortunately, we don't have to - players from a specialized group called Body Recovery Squad will gladly help us, completely free of charge, supporting members of the game community in such difficult moments (via Eurogamer).

The idea of creating BRS appeared after its founder - player known as Rim Jaynor - almost lost everything after a clash with a monster. He managed to survive thanks to a nearby portal, which enabled him to call another person to help him. The players involved in this incident realized that not everyone would be so lucky, and decided to do something about it.

"We were lucky that we had a portal close by and another friend who wasn't with us. For us it was a quick run back through the portal to grab our stuff. In the discussion of the events it came up - 'you know, what if we weren't that lucky? We'd be back in the Stone Age!,'" Rim Jaynor told Eurogamer editors.

It's worth noting that in Valheim, failing to retrieve equipment means losing it permanently, which is quite a blow to some players. For this reason, rescue missions are also a big responsibility and the group approaches its activities with surprising seriousness. Not everyone is accepted into BRS - recruits are required to have the proper equipment and experience in Valheim. So far the Body Recovery Squad has fifteen members.

Over a hundred players have already used Body Recovery Squad's services, and more requests are coming in all the time. If you need support, go to this Discord server, go to the #assistance-application channel, and click the SOS button. Then all you have to do is wait for one of the group managers to contact you and discuss the details of the rescue. If you are interested in joining BRS, you can find the application form here.
