Valheim Player Builds Wooden Notre Dame Cathedral
Valheim p[layers are outdoing themselves in creating impressive or absurd designs. After works inspired by Star Wars and Lord of the Rings, a Notre Dame cathedral built of wood has become a hit on Reddit.
The Internet constantly gives us new evidence of gamer creativity. The Minecraft community leads the way, but other sandbox survival games also have some impressive projects. It's no different in Valheim, which has been conquering Steam in recent weeks, as shown by Reddit user GlPv. The user boasted of his great creation: a faithful replica of the Notre Dame Cathedral.
One could argue that the word "faithful" is a slight misuse here. During the construction of the cathedral, the user used mainly wood, and not stone (only the floor of the building is paved with stone). Besides, the virtual temple is slightly inferior to its real counterpart in terms of grandeur, although with towers around 34-36 meters high the project cannot be called "modest". To be fair, GlPv didn't have to gather all the necessary resources in the so-called Debug mod, and the author himself admits that adding subsequent elements didn't require much precision. The main problem was time, because even with infinite resources and the ability to fly the construction took no less than 10 hours.
It's another example of Valheim community's creativity, which manifests itself not only in subsequent gigantic constructions. Previously, we had the opportunity to see the Barad-Dur tower from The Lord of the Rings, the Millennium Falcon from Star Wars, a precision sundial, a shipyard and a ship launcher. Of course, this is still not much compared to the rich and often very complicated or absurdly huge output of the Minecraft community, which, truth be told, gives the players much more options (if only thanks to the sheer number of available types of resources). However, it seems that at least some of the more than 5 million buyers of Valheim will not get bored with Iron Gate's game anytime soon.
