Valheim in Unstoppable. Another Activity Record Falls
Valheim is sweeping across Steam like a storm. Yesterday the game set a new activity record, crossing the threshold of half a million users playing simultaneously. It was also the store's biggest bestseller of the week.
- Valheim set a new activity record on Steam (over 0.5 million simultaneous players);
- Valheim is Steam's biggest bestseller for the third week in a row;
- Chinese RPG Tale of Immortal continues to sell like hot cakes;
- Cyberpunk 2077 dropped out of Steam's top ten bestsellers.
Valheim is the first big hit of the year. Further proof of the title's popularity is the setting of a new activity record. Yesterday, at the hottest moment of the day, 502,387 people simultaneously played the game on Steam.
For a short time the title was the second most popular game on Valve's service on Sunday, beating even Dota 2. In the end, the daily record for the MOBA game was greater, and overall, counting the entire day, Valheim took the number three spot. This is all the more impressive because it is a paid game. while the leaders on the list, namely Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Dota 2, use the F2P model.
The game not only achieves excellent activity results, but also sells like crazy. Valheim was the biggest bestseller last week on Steam, according to revenue. It also held this position on the two previous lists.
The game debuted in early access on February 2, this year. A few days ago the game's devs at Iron Gate studio, boasted that the sales of Valheim exceeded 3 million copies.
