Valheim 1.0 release is coming, but we will have to wait for it for a long time
The update with final biome, The Deep North, is coming to Valheim. This means that leaving EA is imminent. In this article, you will find out when this might happen.
Valheim is a multiplayer survival game set in a world inspired by Norse mythology. Besides killing more and more powerful enemies, players must also take care to upgrade their equipment by collecting various resources and exploring dangerous biomes. Although the game was released on February 2nd, 2021, it still remains in Early Access. Nevertheless, this state is about to change, as the latest announced biome is coming to this production, which will foreshadow version 1.0. How long will you have to wait? You can find out the answer in our article.
How Long You Have To Wait For Valheim 1.0 Release
In the Development Blog from November 20th, Iron Gate AB shared information about an upcoming new update to the game. One of the things it will introduce is the last biome, which foreshadows the arrival of the final version of Valheim 1.0. The biome is called the Deep North. Unfortunately, at this point we do not yet know the specific release date of this update.
On the other hand, judging by the last major updates to Valheim over a period of almost three years, it can be deduced that this is still a long way off. Mainly because they are all at least several months apart. The last update, which was released on October 29th - The Bog Witch - came almost half a year after the previous one, entitled Ashlands. The waiting period was even longer in the case of Mistlands and Hearth & Home. Players had to wait about 1.5 years between those two.
The trend in recent years may give hope that the update will come out much sooner than how it looked at the beginning of this production. Nevertheless, it is worth to be prepared that the final Deep North biome will appear no sooner than six months from now.
