Unusual Bug in ATS Has Players Scratch Their Heads
A driver in ATS encountered a very unpleasant incident during one of his transports. His truck got stuck under a bridge.
In American Truck Simulator one of the virtual drivers encountered a very unusual bug - his truck got stuck due to a bridge being too low. Purely theoretically, such a bug should not appear in the game, especially since many players admitted that they see something like this for the first time.
The strange case of an American trucker
As written by Senior_Artichoke, he is not using any mods, only the Forest Machinery DLC, which introduces heavy loads of forest machinery into the game.
The incident took place on the Bay Bridge on the way to San Francisco. Senior_Artichoke was hoping that the community would somehow help him out of this unpleasant situation. Two methods prevailed among the proposed solutions : cancel the order or load the game.
ATS, don't go that way
There were also suggestions that the unfortunate driver should report the bug to SCS Software. What is more, there was also an aspect that ATS has not taken a realistic approach to the subject of forestry machines.
Frikshun13 wrote that the equipment that Senior_Artichoke was transporting has a mechanism that allows its cab to be tilted down so that the machine can be transported safely. As you can see in the attached picture, ATS took a different approach to this topic.
It is worth mentioning at this point that SCS Software has a problem not only with heavy machines. Last week players also discussed the issue of AI intelligence in ETS2, which has been disappointing since the premiere and nothing seems to be changing in this matter.
Other solutions
In order to avoid similar incidents in the future, players also suggested that the driver should use the "avoid location" option. Thanks to it ATS will set a different, probably longer route to carry out the order, but it will be possible to complete it, and this is the most important.
There is also the use of console and commands. The player can then move his truck out of the problematic area and continue the delivery as if nothing had happened.
