Uncharted Movie Loses Director For the Sixth Time
Uncharted movie lost its director... for the sixth time. This time, after less than three months, Travis Knight, who was behind the warly-received Bumblebee, resigned from the post.
The Uncharted movie appeares to be cursed. Sources cited by Deadline, claim that the production lost its sixth director, Travis Knight, who had previously created the warmly-received Bumblebee and also developed the animation Kubo and the Two Strings. The reason for this was to be crunch caused by Tom Holland's other commitments - the actor playing Nathan Drake, the main character. This summer, Holland is to start working on the third Spider-Man movie, which allegedly forces the producers of the movie adventures of Drake and the company to rush. Currently, it is not known who will replace Knight as director.
The fate of Uncharted so far looks like a string of constant problems. Since October 2010 the production has already had six directors: David O. Russell, Neil Burger, Seth Gordon, Shawn Levy, Dan Tractenberg and finally Travis Knight. The cast also changed over the years - initially, it was planned that Nathan Drake would be played by Mark Wahlberg, but eventually, it was decided to cast Tom Holland in this role. Interestingly enough, in November, we found out that the first one will still appear in the film... except in the role of Victor Sullivan, the main character's mentor.
