Jiren’s Saga can have these outcomes:
- Default Ending, achieved by completing the main objective, “Survive the battle against Frieza, Android 17, and Goku”.
- Strength Is Absolute, the alternate ending.
- True Strength, the what if ending.
Remember that both alternate endings can’t be unlocked on lower difficulty.
In Jiren’s first stage, Saiyan Rampage, your decision about Kale determines the ending. If you choose to “Take care of her now”, you’ll get the Strength Is Absolute ending. If you choose to “Wait and see”, you’ll unlock the alternate path and get the True Strength final. It seems simple, but for some reason, players are unable to unlock both endings.
DB: Sparking Zero – How to Unlock Both Jiren’s Alternate Endings
If you’ve completed both the canon path and the one triggered by the Sparking Episode but still end up with the same alternate ending, here’s what to try:
Don’t forget that you can skip the first stage fight if you’ve already completed it. Just start Saiyan Rampage, skip the cutscenes, choose one of Kale’s options, and exit the fight.
- Complete the Ultimate Climactic Battle on Lower Difficulty to get the default ending with the credits.
- To unlock the Strength Is Absolute, return to the first stage, choose to defeat Kale, and then proceed to the Ultimate Climactic Battle. Start the fight, pause the game, and check the Battle Details. If the alternate objective says “Beat Frieza, Android 17, and Goku”, you’ll trigger this ending by defeating them quickly.
- To unlock True Strength, go back to the first stage, choose “Wait and see” and then go to the Ultimate Climactic Battle. Pause the fight and check the Battle Details. If the alternate objective says, “With Master Roshi defeat Frieza, Android 17, and Goku”, you will get the second alternate ending by defeating them, but make sure to complete it within 4 minutes while keeping Jiren’s health high. You can check the alternate objective at any time to ensure it hasn’t changed, guaranteeing the ending you want.
You can use Dragon Orb to get some help with the alternate objectives in episode battles. They can be obtained through wish from Shenron, Super Shenron, or Porunga.
