Ultimate Admiral Dreadnoughts – Marine Strategy from the Creators of Naval Action.
Ultimate Admiral: Dreadnoughts is headed for the PC. It's a "sim" by Admiral Game-Labs, who will allow you to manage the fleet of ships of one of the ten naval powers from between 1890 and 1930. The release date is not yet known.
Good times have come for the lovers of ships and naval battles. The Polish UBOAT has been very successful in early access, and the strategy Ultimate Admiral: Dreadnoughts from Game-Labs studio, the creators of Ultimate General: Civil War and Naval Action, among others, is already on the cards. The first time we heard about this title was in September last year, but only recently did we have a chance to learn more about it.
Ultimate Admiral: Dreadnoughts makes a strong connection to the Rule of Waves, a similar game from 2016. The production of Game-Labs will allow you to play the admiral in the service of one of the few world powers (the United Kingdom, Germany, France, the United States, Japan, and Russia) and direct the activities of its fleet from 1890 up until the interwar period (1920-39). The alpha version of the title will offer two modes - the Naval Academy, which will allow you to play a quick battle based on a pre-determined scenario, and a full campaign, slightly reminiscent of the one known from the Total War series, although we will not have direct influence on the politics of the country we represent, and some events can be triggered without our participation.
Obviously, during a confrontation, the side with better equipment will have the greatest chance of winning. The players will be responsible for designing subsequent improvements of their ships. The creators promise a wide range of options that will allow us to create various types of machines on our own - from submarines and torpedo boats to powerful battleships.
Every change in the design of a given machine, even the smallest one, will translate into its behavior during battles, where weather conditions and the faithful representation of ballistics will also have a significant impact. The game is supposed to be demanding, and the whole experience as realistic and compelling as possible, which are both hallmarks of the previous games from Game-Labs.
Ultimate Admiral: Dreadnoughts will be available for purchase in two editions - the Standard, containing a Steam key, and the Limited, which also gives access to a closed alpha of the title. The pre-orders haven't commenced yet. We also don't know the release date. The only thing we know right now, to be entirely honest, is that it's going to be a PC exclusive.
At the same time, Game-Labs are working on Ultimate Admiral: Age of Sail, a game that will allow you to take the helm of sailing ships involved in the American-British conflicts at the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries. The title is expected to be released in early access later this year.
